We are a community food group based out of Ascension Parish Louisiana and our members stretch throughout Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Denham Springs, Lafayette, and just about anywhere else in Louisiana that’s cooking something up!

Most of us here are Louisiana to the core; but anyone is welcome no matter where you are from or where you are at now! It’s an exciting time for food culture in Louisiana. We still trust in the “trinity”, season heavily and gather around food as a way to bring communities together. But these days being a foodie in Louisiana offers so much more than just the classic ideas of Louisiana cooking. We’ve got great taquerias! Slammin ramen and pho shops! More sushi than anyone expected to see in Louisiana 15 years ago! Specialty food markets that give us access to international flavors! And some of the best burgers you’ll have anywhere in the country! And that’s not even the tip of the iceberg.

This group was created to talk about great restaurants, share recipes, discuss all the crazy controversial food topics that plague the interweb, make new friends, stimulate local businesses, share memes, and just be an overall fun place to come and not have to be so serious all the time.

We try to keep things light here but we are southerners so we never shy away from some healthy opinionated food debating.

All I can hope for is that this group creates the type of community that makes me proud to be a Louisianian!
